The State of Zimbabwe recognized Tambanevana e.V. as a helping organization for children on August 8th, 1994.

The German organization was also recognized as a charitable or non-profit-making organization by the tax office of Ingolstadt, tax no. 186/33360. This means that donations are tax deductible.

The project leader in Murewa, Josephine Matare is a qualified nurse and midwife. She'd been working as a nurse in
health education for several years before she started to build up Tambanevana in 1991.
Her job is diverse:   
 

•  She is responsible for and plans all work.
•  She instructs the staff.
•  She draws up and controls the budget.
•  She communicates with specialist staff of the health service, social services and nursery schools.
•  She is in contact with charity organizations at home and abroad.
•  She prepares the annual project reports.

We want to thank Josephine that despite her diverse tasks she still has so much time and energy for her children.
